Growing up Sam played his golf at Royal Belfast and Holywood Golf Club before turning Professional at the age of 22. He began his PGA training at Bangor Golf Club under the guidance of Michael Bannon, coach to Rory McIlroy, and it was through Michael that he developed his passion for coaching and retail. Sam continued to work at Bangor Golf Club until June 2019 when he joined Dunmurry Golf Club as the Club Professional.
